Tenhle druh pouze jantarky (tedy jako prvního hostitele), ale některé druhy motolic si jako způsob přepravy do žaludku konečného hostitele volí třeba mravence, sarančata a jiný hmyz, který je potom i s trávou spasen hovězím dobytkem.
