Imperforate, orbiculate-conic, smooth, whitish-brown, ornamented with brown bands which are often articulated. Suture deep; whorls 5, convex, the last flattened beneath, descending in front. Aperture very oblique, large, oval; peristome thin, white, broadly expanded, the margins converging, basal lip reflexed, columellar lip dilated, appressed. Alt. 18, greater diam. 24, lesser 18 mill. (Pfr.) Port Pralin, New Ireland. The whorls are more convex than in H. flexilabris, and the bands are often articulated.
