Description

Very similar to some forms of argyrostoma but sculpture usually without or with only very small scales. Apex white to yellowish; operculum without the orange margin at the outer lip. There exist two populations: shells from the Leeward Islands are rather large and massive (over 90 mm) and sometimes show disjunct whorls, whereas shells from the Windward Islands are usually much smaller and smoother (up to 35 mm).

Restricted to the Hawaiian Islands.
