Description

The shell is medium sized (13-20 mm) rather depressed, cylindrical to oval, with low, angular margins. The extremities are finely margined and rather rostrate. The spire is exposed and umbilicate. The base is yellowish to white and rather flat. The teeth are strong and coarse, extending onto the base and the labrum. The aperture is narrow and gently curved. The fossula is flat, the anterior columellar teeth form 2-6 denticles, most of the peristome is smooth. Dorsally there are three cloudy bands of bluish or greenish, interrupted by paler yellow, narrow zones. There is no darker transverse banding. The dorsum is covered with evenly spaced brown spots which rarely form a blotch. The base is finely spotted. The range is restricted to Mauritius (except the southernmost part) and La Reunion
