Comparison of Greater Yellowlegs (Tringa melanoleuca) and Lesser Yellow legs (Tringa flavipes).

Points of distinction to look for are naturally the size. Greater Yellowlegs also has thicker leg joints which are in the Lesser Yellowlegs much less pronounced. Also, the Greater Y.'s bill is paler near its root, where the Lesser Y's bill is dark all through.
