V odkazu na literaturu: PLANTS Database [LOFA2] se se na adrese:
http://plants.usda.gov/java/largeImage?imageID=lofa2_001_avp.tif zobrazí fotografie na níž není rostlina patřící pod tento taxon, ale rostlina z okruhu Echinopsis aurea.

Martin Líbal: Opravte epiteton famatinensis (s -n-) na famatimensis (s -m-), protože tak byl taxon původně označen, i když je odvozen z názvu Siera Famatina. Podle zásad bot. názvosloví nelze tento druh chyb následně opravovat. Tato odchylka platí pouze pro uvedený taxon včetně synonym a podřízených taxonů. U všech ostatních taxonů platí epiteton famatinensis např. Cumulopuntia famatinensis F.Ritter.
