Description

Shell smooth and shining, whitish with a pale purplish tinge, and conspicuously spirally lined in dark brown. Number of spiral lines fairly constant, 4-5 on the penultimate and 8-11 on the body-whorl.
Height 38-41 mm., width 17-18 mm.
New Zealand: North Island, from Cape Maria van Diemen to East Cape. Rangitoto Island, Auckland (type).
