Size

36 - 48 mm

Description

Females and young males are green with square blackish spots on the abdomen. Males become pruinose blue with white claspers and a green face (see Picture 1; Picture 2; Closeup).

Distribution

Eastern North America, the Great Plains (excluding the Northernmost part), south to Texas, and spotty distribution in Arizona and New Mexico.
