I have a question about gastropod classification that I hope you can answer for me. Your site lists Volutopsinae as a subfamily. However, Bouchet and Rocroi do not list Volutopsinae but do list Volutotopsiini as a tribe in the subfamily Buccininae. What I was looking for was which group the genus Pyrulofusus belongs to. So I have two questions I hope you can help with: Is Volutopsinae a valid subfamily, and what group does Pyrulofusus belong in? Thanks very much for any help you can provide.
