Registered users can add new scientific synonyms or propose replacement of a valid scientific name for any record in taxonomic system.

If the user is signed in, he will see link "Add or replace taxon scientific name" in a lower part of the taxon profile page. The added name has to be in a correct format, see help topic Format of scientific and vernacular names in BioLib.

Name will be revised and accepted by a taxonomic administrator.
