Harald Schnöde [ 31.10.2006 10:29:46 ]: Dear Harald Schnöde, it is true that server had some technical problems in last few weeks, but it was only temporary and I hope that it will work properly from now on.
As for the question - since BioLib is still quite young and not very well known project, most of its users are still only from Czech Republic, therefore of course most of the help texts and taxon descriptions are available only in Czech language. It is however not a problem to add taxon descriptions in any language, only there are no users who would do it. We're planning that in near future adding texts and names in various languages will be possible with most of the types of data in BioLib, including images. Also we plan to translate interface into many languages, in fact it is possible even now, but we have no one who would do this. Furthermore we're still working on many functions and it would be very difficult for us to keep all language versions up to date, so having only two system languages helps us to develop new features more rapidly.
Currently all of our administrators are from Czech republic, but I'll try to ask them if anyone can speak german to answer your questions.
Kind regards
Ondrej Zicha
