Some of the forms (for example forms for adding taxon, scientific or vernacular name) contain field "Data source". Although this field is not mandatory it simplifies the control of data quality for taxonomic administrators who work with the data.

The field is not normally visible anywhere on BioLib (it is however visible to administrators and also in the system data under SHOW INFO function). Therefore it is not necessary to provide full citation of the source but you can instead provide only an abbreviation, internet address or shortened citation as long as administrators are able to find which source you've used.
